SFH at a Glance
Society for Family Health is a Zambian non-profit Company Limited by Guarantee affiliated with Population Services International (PSI). SFH has, since its establishment in 1992, worked to improve lives of vulnerable Zambians. SFH activities include implementation locally relevant programs in Maternal and Child Health, Malaria, and HIV prevention in the public sector and private sector using social marketing strategies.
A Board of Directors consisting of majority Zambian Board members governs SFH. The Board chair Mrs. Mable Mungomba is the former Director General ofthe Citizen Empowerment Commission of Zambia and a Fellow and past president of the Zambia Institute of Marketing.
Through its affiliation with PSI, SFH is part of a network of 67 PSI network affiliation members that adhere to agreed international minimum standards ofprogram operations and implementation and are able to participate in multi country collaborations as well as cross pollinate best practices. SFH through this affiliation uses and enterprise resource planning software called Lawson to manage over $80 million the organization has received over the last 5 years to implement health programs.
